5TH ANNUAL BROOKLYN HIP HOP FESTIVAL

Brooklyn Bodega is proud to announce the opening event of the Fifth Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. Please come out TOMORROW, Thursday June 18th to the BHF Photo Exhibit & Fundraiser at the Galapagos Art Space (16 Main Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn).

The Photo Exhibit is a retrospective look at the powerful images of Hip-Hop fans, performers, volunteers and Bodega Family who have helped make the Festival NYC’s largest Hip-Hop event.

The Exhibit will consist of various prints from the first four years of the Festival. There will also be a multimedia slide show which will showcase a greater swath of images from the three photographers.

The accompanying silent auction will allow attendees to purchase the various prints.

Brooklyn Bodega will also be screening the documentary, “Doing It In the Park Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival 2008.” The film, produced and directed by Big Natural Productions, documents the historic Fourth Annual Festival featuring KRS ONE, Buckshot, Blu and Exile, and Mickey Factz.

After the Exhibit World Renowned DJ Qool Marv will bring his eclectic mix of neo-soul, Afro beat, underground hip hop and break beats. A regular staple at APT in Manhattan, Qool Marv is one of New York City’s finest selectors.

The 5th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival Photo Exhibit & Fundraiser will take place from 7pm-9pm. The After Party with DJ Qool Marv from 9pm-12am. All at Galapagos Art Space, 16 Main Street (corner of Main and Water Streets).

There is a suggested donation of $10 For a donation of $15 your first drink is on the house.
